This privacy policy explains what personal information Prequant LLC (“Prequant”, “we”, “us”) processes when you visit prequant.dev and its subdomains or contact us by email, why we do it, and what rights you have. We wrote it to meet U.S. requirements (including the California Online Privacy Protection Act) and, where they apply to you, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. The short version

3. Information we process

3.1 When you visit the website

Like every web server, ours automatically records technical information each time a page or file is requested: IP address, date and time, requested address, the referring page, the HTTP status code and the browser identification (user agent). We use these server logs only to deliver the website, keep it secure, detect and defend against attacks and fix errors. The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days, unless a specific entry is needed longer to investigate a concrete security incident.

3.2 Content delivery and protection (Cloudflare)

The website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which protects it against attacks and speeds up delivery. For this, Cloudflare processes connection data, including your IP address. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm) only if it detects suspicious traffic; we do not use Cloudflare for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

3.3 When you email us

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you provide it, the content of your message and any attachments, in order to answer you and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract. Emails are stored on our own mail server. We keep correspondence as long as needed for the matter and delete it afterwards, unless we are legally required to keep it longer (for example business and tax records).

4. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning website and in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5. Who receives information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run this website and our email, and only as far as necessary: the data center that hosts our servers and Cloudflare (see 3.2). We may also disclose information if required by law, a court order or to protect our rights and the security of our systems. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Where information is processed

Prequant LLC is a U.S. company. Our servers are located in the United States, and Cloudflare operates a global network. If you visit from the EEA or the UK, your information is therefore processed in the United States. Where required, such transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Cloudflare) or on the necessity of the transfer to respond to your request.

7. How long we keep information

8. Security

All connections to this website and our mail server are encrypted with TLS. Our servers are administered by us, access is restricted, and backups are encrypted before they are stored. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Residents of U.S. states with privacy laws (for example California) have comparable rights where those laws apply to us. To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30 days) and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. California notices and “Do Not Track”

We do not track visitors over time or across third-party websites, and we do not allow third parties to do so through our website. Because we do not track, our website does not change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code § 1798.83).

11. Children

This website is directed to businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be indicated on this page.
